Antique Japanese baluster form bronze jardinière from the Meiji period (1868-1912) occasional table with marble top. Exquisitely detailed relief bronze casting depicting a large dominating dragon facing an open wing phoenix on lower portion. Upper half is complemented by flying birds, a rooster, and birds resting on cherry blossom branches. Separated at the mid-section by blooming lotus leaves. Stunning naturally aged bronze patina in excellent all around condition.

This piece was converted from jardinière to table with polished cream color marble top. Table is solid and very sturdy with no imperfections.
