Vintage 1970s Lee and Naomi Peck Large Wall Art Metal Charger Signed by Both Artists
Rare large 18" Lee Barnes Peck and Naomi Peck wall art charger with hand-etched signature by both Lee and Naomi Peck circa 1970's.
This piece was first formed through a process called spinning whereby a sheet of flat metal is formed on a wooden shape on a special lathe. This piece was spun from copper/bronze and the surface of the metal was etched and oxidized, creating a modernist abstract design.
This charger features bronze, copper, and a multitude of other inlay techniques for this modernist abstract design. Striking relief and colors from gold, bronze and silver showing as well a crystalline structure to some elements. This piece borders modernism and postmodernism. Truly a stunning piece of wall jewelry; a kaleidoscope of rainbow colors.
